This delicious and easy white tea shot recipe is made with just 4 ingredients, making it a fun and fruity drink for your next party or event.

This white tea shot recipe is a variation of the green tea shot, which is an alcoholic shot made with Jameson Irish Whiskey, Peach Schnapps, and sour mix.  Because that shot has a slightly green hue, it's called the green tea shot.

This version uses Vodka in place of the Jameson, hence the name white tea shot.  Not only is this a staple at bars and nights out with friends, but similar to the lemon drop shot or chocolate cake shot, it's super easy to make and great for parties. You can also easily double the recipe or make it into a fun batch cocktail.

Ingredients

white tea shot ingredients of vodka, peach schnapps, lemon, and simple syrup.

  • Vodka: a mid to high end vodka such as Titos or Grey Goose is preferable but you can use your favorite vodka brand or whatever you have on hand.
  • Lemon Juice: Both fresh lemon juice and store bought work, but I personally prefer fresh.
  • Simple Syrup: You can make your own simple syrup by cooking equal parts water and sugar until the sugar has dissolved and starts to slightly thicken. Let it cool and you have homemade simple syrup.

Substitutions

  • Sour Mix:  You can replace the simple syrup and lemon juice for equal parts store bought or homemade sour mix. If using sour mix, you can also top the mixed shots with lemon lime soda, but this is optional.

How to Make

This is super easy to make. Add ice cubes to a cocktail shaker then add the vodka, peach schnapps, simple syrup, and lemon juice (or sweet and sour mix if substituting for simple syrup and lemon juice).

process of making a white tea shot.

Then shake until it’s cold and pour into shot glasses.  Garnish with an optional lemon wedges and/or mint and enjoy!

Tips

  • Rather than using store bought, you can make your own simple syrup by cooking equal parts water and sugar until the sugar has dissolved and starts to slightly thicken. Let cool before using.
  • To make this recipe even easier, use sweet and sour mix in place of the lemon juice and simple syrup.
  • If you don't have store bought sour mix, you can make your own using this sour mix recipe.
  • This recipe can easily be doubled, tripled, or made into a batch cocktail by mixing equal parts vodka, peach schnapps, and sour mix in a pitcher with ice.

Variations

  • Tequila:  substitute tequila for vodka, and substitute lime juice for lemon juice.
  • Rum: substitute white rum for vodka.
  • Whiskey: substitute vodka for whiskey (also known as a green tea shot).
