Doesn't this S'mores Dip look delicious?! This simple recipe brings all the toasty, marshmallowy goodness indoors!

Similar to this Oreo Dip or chocolate chip dip, it's such a simple treat, and perfect treat for game days, movie nights, or an easy party appetizer or dessert.

Why you'll love it:

  • Easy: This recipe is so simple and almost impossible to mess up. It’s a 10 minute dessert or party appetizer – all you do is preheat the oven, bake, and then dip!
  • Customizable: You can mix this up however you want! You can add peanut butter, milk chocolate, peanut butter cups, white chocolate, flavored marshmallows, Peeps, you name it!

  • Marshmallows: Regular marshmallows work great, as do the jumbo marshmallows or mini-marshmallows. You can also use flavored marshmallows, or even Peeps or other unique marshmallows.
  • Dippers: Of course, graham crackers are the most common, but you can also use cookies, pretzels, vanilla wafers, or fruit!

Tips and Tricks

  • This S'mores Dip recipe is for a 6 inch skillet, but you can scale up or down as needed. You can also add more or less chocolate or marshmallows to your liking.
  • If using chocolate chips rather than chocolate bars, use high quality chips such as Ghirardelli rather than baking chips, as they melt better and are less prone to scorching.

Fun Variations

There are basically unlimited ways to jazz up this simple indoor s'mores recipe! Here are a few fun ideas:

  • Peanut Butter S'mores Dip: Add dollops of peanut butter on top of the chocolate, and before adding the marshmallows. You can also try use peanut butter cups instead of chocolate! Bake as directed.
  • Air Fryer S'mores Dip: This works best for small servings or single servings. Add chocolate chips then marshmallows to a oven safe baking dish such as a ramekin that will fit in your air fryer. Bake at 350 ℉ for 3-5 minutes. Let cool and enjoy!
  • Holiday S'mores Dip: Try using holiday peeps instead of regular marshmallows for a fun Halloween or Easter Marshmallow Dip.

FAQ

What should I use for dipping into the oven s'mores?

You can dip whatever you want! In addition to graham crackers, try Biscoff cookies, shortbread cookies, Oreo cookies chocolate chip cookies, strawberries, bananas, broken waffle cones, pretzels, potato chips, even Ritz crackers!

How long will this dip stay gooey?

This dip will stay gooey longer than you think, especially if you're using a cast iron skillet which retains heat really well!
It can typically stay warm and gooey anywhere from 25 minutes to 45 minutes, depending on the size and type of pan. And, you can always pop back in the oven to warm up again once it starts to firm up.

Can I reheat?

Yes! This reheats in the oven really well. Just place the entire baking pan of leftover dip into a preheated oven for another 5-8 minutes until it has re-softened. If you're marshmallows are already toasted enough, you can loosely place aluminum foil on top, so the marshmallows do not burn.

Storing

This dip is best consumed immediately! But, you can store leftovers either in an airtight container or tightly covered in the the baking dish (as long as it is not cast iron) and then re-heat in a 350 ℉ preheated oven for 5-8 minutes, or until re-melted.

You can also spoon into a microwave safe bowl and reheat in 15-20 seconds intervals, until re-melted. Be sure to watch closely so the chocolate and marshmallows don't burn or explode. I do not recommend freezing this dip.
