No-bake Nutella pie is smooth, chocolatey, and super simple to make! An easy dessert that’s perfect for Nutella fans and any occasion.
If you love Nutella, this no-bake Nutella pie is a must-try. It’s rich, creamy, and full of chocolate and hazelnut flavor. Paired with a delicious chocolate Oreo Crust and whipped cream, it’s perfect for parties, summer BBQ, and potlucks. Plus, similar to this peanut butter pie, there is no oven required, making this a super simple no-bake dessert!
Ingredients
- Chocolate Hazelnut Spread: Both Nutella brand and generic brands work great!
- Cream Cheese: Adds richness and helps create a smooth, sliceable filling. Make sure it is room temperature! If it is too cold, it will not combine with the Nutella.
- Oreo Pie Crust: You can use pre-made crust, or make your own with this Oreo crust recipe. This recipe also works great with graham cracker crust!
- Optional Toppings: Whipped cream (vanilla or chocolate), more Cool Whip, chopped hazelnuts, or chocolate shavings for a pretty and tasty garnish.
Want to Make it Lighter? You can use both low-fat or non-fat cream cheese and Cool whip in this recipe!
How to Make
If desired, smooth 1/4 to 1/3 cup of the Nutella along the bottom of the pie crust. The spread gets really fudgey and delicious when it’s cold, adding a nice ganache-style layer to the pie. But, this is totally optional and you can just mix it all in with the cream cheese.
To make the filling, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth in a large bowl. Add Nutella and mix until smooth. Gently fold in the Cool Whip and add to the prepared crust.
Let the pie chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours (preferably overnight) before adding any additional toppings, and then slice and enjoy! That’s it, so easy and a great make-ahead dessert.
Tips and Tricks
- While a chocolate Oreo crust is classic, this recipe is also delicious with a graham cracker crust!
- Make sure your cream cheese is very soft before mixing, otherwise you can get little pieces of unmixed cream cheese with the hazelnut spread.
- Hate Cool Whip? You can use homemade whipped cream instead, by whipping up 1.5 cups of heavy whipping cream and folding that into the Nutella cream cheese mixture.

You can also freeze the pie for up to 1 month. Wrap it tightly in plastic wrap and then foil to prevent freezer burn. Thaw in the refrigerator overnight before serving. Note that freezing may slightly firm up the texture, but it still tastes great.
