Ingredients
- Chocolate chips: you can mini or regular chocolate chips, or chocolate chunks or chopped up chocolate bars. Even white chocolate chips or M&Ms would be delicious.
- Cream Cheese: I recommend brick cream cheese for the best results. Some people have had success substituting mascarpone for the cream cheese so it’s similar to a cannoli dip, although I haven’t personally tried it.
How to Make
Step 1: Mix Cheesecake Dip
In a large bowl add the softened cream cheese, softened butter, powdered sugar, brown sugar, salt, and vanilla. Mix until creamy, about 1-2 minutes. Scrape down the sides of the bowl with a spatula as necessary.
Step 2: Fold in Chocolate Chips
Gently fold in the chocolate chips using a spatula. You can serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to serve.
Step 3: Enjoy!
Serve with strawberries, vanilla wafers, and cookies and enjoy!
Fun Variations
- Mint Chocolate Chip: add in ¼ tsp peppermint extract to the cheesecake mixture. You can also add a few drops of green food coloring.
- Double Chocolate Chip: Add in ¼ cup cocoa powder with the powdered sugar.
- Booty Dip: The viral tik tok booty dip is very similar. You can make it by mixing in one jar of marshmallow fluff to the dip.
You can also add in caramel, nuts, and anything else you think would be delicious!
Tips and Tricks
- Make sure the cream cheese and butter are at room temperature so they properly mix together.
