Made with only blueberries, sugar, lemons, and water this is such a simple recipe!

And, you can use either fresh or frozen blueberries so you can enjoy this recipe all year round. Try mixing up different sweeteners as well. Honey, agave, or even sugar substitutes for a sugar-free version all work great.

How to Make

Step 1: Peel and juice lemons

Peel and juice 4-5 lemons, which is about ¾ cup lemon juice. You can add an extra 1/4 cup lemon juice if you want it extra tart.

    5 stars
This turned out well and well received by our guests. I will double the recipe next time because for the 4 of us, it was barely enough. It was quite easy to make, a little time consuming. Make it in the morning or day before you plan to serve it. The recipe doesn’t say when to add the lemon juice. Iced 3/4 cup and added it in with the berries in the pan. I suppose it could be added after the berries have finished cooking.

When do you add the lemon juice. I assume with water etc in the saucepan?
