Celebrate Mom with a delicious garden party brunch! Enjoy the day with these make-ahead Mother’s Day Brunch recipes and planning schedule.

Mother’s Day is all about celebrating the amazing women who raised us. What better way to show your love and appreciation than with a beautiful garden party brunch? Sunshine, fresh air, and delicious food create the perfect setting for a memorable day.
To help you plan the perfect spread, I’ve put together a menu filled with spring-time flavors and elegant, yet easy-to-make dishes that can be made in advance, making this a simple, make-ahead brunch!
Why You’ll Love It:
- Customizable: This menu is completely customizable. You can use any make-ahead casserole, dessert, or salad. You can also jazz it up or down. Want a floral table arch and flower-filled ice buckets? Do it! Don’t want to waste your time? Skip it!
- Scalable: This menu is perfect for about 6-8 people but you can easily scale it up or down by doubling the recipes or adding more make-ahead dishes.
- Make Ahead: The cornerstone of this brunch menu is that almost everything can be prepped ahead of time!
Recipes
Food
- Asparagus Quiche (recipe coming soon!): Quiches are great because you can par-bake the crust, and prepare the fillings the day before so all you need to do is assemble and bake in the morning.
- French Toast Casserole: I love this because you can assemble the entire casserole the day before and simply bake it the morning of.
- Fresh Fruit: Did you know pineapple season starts in March? I used fresh pineapple as the base of my fruit platter and it was delicious and so easy. Plus, it holds really well! You can assemble it the day before and keep it tightly wrapped in the refrigerator.
- Strawberry Feta Salad: This is one of my all-time favorite party salads because it only has 4 ingredients with minimal prep (simply make the dressing a few days in advance and slice the strawberries right before assembling). Plus, it’s delicious and always gets compliments. Notes: I use spring mix and only 2 tsp of shallots in the dressing instead of a whole shallot. Plus I soak it in water for 5 minutes to get rid of some of the bite.
dessert and drinks
- Cookies: There are so many cookies recipes to choose from! Lemon Cookies, Brown Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies, and Double Chocolate Cookies are perfect for spring. But, you can use your favorite cookie recipe! I got the idea from Moribyan to put them in these adorable jars to serve as take away gifts. So cute!
- Strawberry Pie: Strawberry pie is super easy because you can make it ahead of time, but you can also do a vanilla strawberry cake, champagne cake, or really any dessert that can be made the day before your brunch.
- Strawberry Mimosas: These strawberry mimosas use my strawberry coulis recipe as a base to add to the champagne and orange juice. Bonus – the coulis can also be used as a topping for the french toast!
- Other Beverages: Coffee, Champagne, Lemon/Lime Water, and an Ice Bucket filled with beer, kombucha or anything else you’d like to serve.
Serving
You can find links to everything used for this Mother’s Day brunch on Amazon as well as all the notes and links below:
- Water Dispensers: I love these water dispensers and use them for all my parties. They’re perfect for lemon water, regular water, or a batch cocktail or lemonade.
- Syrup Dispensers: I got these on Amazon and they’re so cute and perfect for the strawberry coulis and syrup for the French Toast.
- Wine Chiller: These are great for parties and always get a ton of compliments!
- DIY Ice Bowl: If you don’t want to purchase a wine chiller, make your own with this DIY Ice Bowl!
- Plates/Serving Ware: You can use any type of serving ware, including real or disposable. I had this serving set left over from a birthday party. They worked great and were perfectly on theme for a garden party brunch.
- Table Rod/Arch and Floral Garland: These trendy table rods are so cute for hanging floral garlands. They cost around $40 dollars, so this time I decided to try a balloon arch instead, which was only $12. It was adorable!
