Equipment

  • Baking Sheet
  • Parchment Paper wax paper, silicone baking mat, etc.

Ingredients

Spiderwebs and Broomsticks

  • Pretzel Sticks
  • Chocolate white, semi-sweet, etc. melted
  • Halloween Sprinkles

Instructions

Broomsticks and Spiderwebs

  • Place a piece of parchment paper, wax paper, or a silicone baking mat on a baking tray.
  • Form the pretzels into the shape of a spider web or broomstick.
  • Using a pastry bag or ziplock bag with a small tip cut off, drizzle the chocolate on the pretzels. You can also drizzle the chocolate on the pretzels using a spoon.
  • While the chocolate is still melted, immediately add your favorite Halloween sprinkles such as bugs, candy eyes, witch hats, or other toppings such as crushed nuts, candy, etc.
  • Let the pretzel treats dry completely and carefully remove from the parchment or wax paper. Enjoy!

Rolo Eye Pretzels

  • Preheat an oven to 350 ℉. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, wax paper, or a silicone baking mat.
  • Place the pretzel twists in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Place one unwrapped Rolo candy on top of each pretzel.
  • Transfer the baking sheet to the pre-heated oven and bake for 3-5 minutes.
  • Carefully remove the baking sheet from the oven and immediately press the candy eye into the center of each melted Rolo pretzel. Let the chocolate firm up at room temperature or in the refrigerator. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Prepare Your Toppings in Advance: Have your sprinkles or any additional toppings such as nuts, candy, etc. ready to go before melting the chocolate. This ensures a quick and smooth assembly process without the chocolate hardening.
  • Get the Desired Consistency: If using candy melts and the chocolate appears too thick, you can add vegetable shortening 1 tsp at a time until you get a slightly thinner dripping consistency.
  • Adding Food Coloring: If using white chocolate and adding food coloring, make sure they are oil based rather than water based. Water based extracts and food coloring can cause the chocolate to seize up and get grainy.
  • These pretzel treats will last up to a week in an airtight container at room temperature.
