Chocolate Buttercream Frosting

This light and fluffy chocolate buttercream frosting is a simple and classic frosting for cakes and cupcakes and filling for cookies.  Plus, with only four ingredients this easy recipe can be made in less than 10 minutes!

Ingredients

Unsalted Butter Powdered Sugar Cocoa Powder Milk or Cream Salt

CREAM BUTTER

Mix until pale and creamy, about 3 minutes.

ADD DRY INGREDIENTS

Add the powdered sugar, cocoa powder, & salt to the creamed butter 

MIX ON LOW

It's normal if it starts to look crumbly.  Keep mixing on low until it starts to come together.

TURN UP SPEED

Once the frosting comes together, turn up the speed to medium and mix another minute or two

ADD MILK/CREAM AND REMIX

If desired, add milk or cream and remix another minute

FROST DESSERT
